This healthy snack was developed around 1900 by Swiss doctor Maximilian Oskar Bircher-Brenner. It contains oat flakes & condensed milk and can be prepared with grated apples, bananas, sultanas, nuts etc.

Ingredients

40 g oatmeal (oat flakes)

20 g sultana

1 dl condensed milk

180 g organic yogurt

2 bananas cut lengthwise in approx. 5 mm thick slices

2 apples, (e.g. Jona Gold) Remove pits, cut in approx. 3 mm thick slices

1.8 dl heavy cream, whipped stiff

Method

1. Mix oats with sultanas and milk in a bowl. Cover and soak for approx. 12 hours

2. Mix yogurt, bananas and apples with oat flakes and sultanas. Fold in whipped cream
