General information
Visitors to the Saas Valley will find the highest mountains in Switzerland. The valley’s mild climate and stunning glaciers create a magical setting for any holiday and Saas-Fee (aswell as Saas-Grund, Saas-Balen and Saas-Almagell) offer an astonishing array of enjoyable, sporting, family-oriented and adventurous activities all year round.
Adding to this, visitors who want to enjoy a culinary experience can do so on June 19th in Saas Fee, with the Gourmettrail, a hike which includes gourmet food. The route follows the Sonnenweg from Hannig mountain station to the sweet finale in Hohnegg Alpine Resort. Along the way, people can taste great delicacies to delight their palates: from regional specialties to salmon trout salad, truffle fondue and braised leg of lamb. All of them accompanied with a glass of wine from Valais, the largest and most varied winegrowing region in Switzerland.
