Das wachau GOURMETfestival hat sich in den vergangenen sechs Jahren international im Reigen der großen Genussfestivals etabliert. Anfangs ambitioniert in der Region verankert, wird das wachau GOURMETfestival heute längst in einem Atemzug mit den Festivals in St. Moritz, im Rheingau und mit anderen Benchmarks genannt. Längst wurden viele traditionelle und arrivierte Festivals überholt.

The UNESCO cultural heritage site of Wachau is a magical destination throughout every season. It’s well known for being one of the most interesting gastronomy regions and an important wine-growing area across the country .Once a year the city celebrates a festival that has quickly established itself as a must on the international culinary scene.

During the Wachau Gourmet Festival, this year celebrating its ninth edition, the local hosting partners await visitors with everything of distinction in the world of indulgence. With exclusive multi-course dinners, cookery shows, table talks with celebrities and exquisite wine tastings, the restaurateurs and wine makers confirm that the Wachau is one of the top culinary regions on an international scale.

The program of the Wachau Gourmet Festival is enhanced by appearances from internationally renowned top chefs. Another distinctive highlight of the festival is The Top Trade Show that gathers over 50 of the very best winemakers from all wine regions of Lower Austria.
