Description
With a long tradition of home pig sticking, the picturesque village of Sládkovičovo, in the Galanta district of south-western Slovakia celebrates an annual event celebrating the sausage. The event is in its sixth year, and is a must see for all meat lovers.
Although it is quite a young event, the festival has gained more popularity each year and attracts lots of visitors and participating teams, from not only Slovakia but also from other Central European countries.
The International Sausage Festival offers a unique chance to get in touch with Slovakian regional food and enjoy it in a festive atmosphere. It also provides a good opportunity to discover this picturesque village of Sládkovičovo, which is not far from the Slovakian Capital City, Bratislava.
