JESTIVAL is a must-taste event focused on “Kobariški štruklji”, a traditional local dessert. The festival programme includes conferences and cooking workshops which will take place at Kobarid’s central square. Gourmet food and drinks will be accompanied by good music. Delicious, educational and entertaining!

Cheese Fondue "Half-and-half" is a Swiss national dish renowned throughout the world. The reason for its popularity is not only due to the ambiance which is created, but also because it tastes so good. To nibble during the meal, organize some appetizers such as gherkins, pickled onions or olives. 

Czech cuisine is known for the amount of sweet dishes that visitors happily eat for dessert or as a main course. These sweet cheese and strawberry dumplings are a good example of the delights of Czech cuisine.

It was 990 A.D. when Archbishop Sigeric wrote down the 79 stages of his journey "de Roma usque ad mare" (from Rome to the sea) during his way back from Rome to the Episcopal seat of Canterbury (Durovernum in Latin), his birthplace.

Lombardy was one of the first regions in Italy to fully develop the idea of Wine Roads. They did this by promoting the creation of the Wine and Food Roads of Lombardy network. This is a series of ‘gourmet itineraries’, whose aim is to enhance and promote quality wine and food products, typical to the region. The wine and food of this Region are always produced using the traditions and culture of their territory of origin. There are currently twelve roads recognised by the Region.

Cheese Trail Routes

The Cheese Route through the Bregenzerwald in Vorarlberg is a must for cheese lovers. The route is the ideal way to explore this lovingly tended rural landscape and its close ties to cheese making: from dairy farms to specialty cheese inns and from alpine pastures to milkmaids. The route also takes in many of the most memorable sights of the region, such as the fine old traditional buildings, the deeply rooted crafts traditions and its folklore.
