The Best of Portugal Fairs & Festivals
For the second time in Brussels, the "Best of Portugal" festival will show the very best of the Portuguese gastronomy and the excellence quality of its local products, including wine, cheese, cured meats, olive oil, honey, fruits and vegetables, among others. In conjunction with the fair there are also a craft fair, folk dances and music.
Stoemp Traditional dishes
Stoemp is a typical and simple Brussels dish, which you have to try when spending time in the Flemish capital.
It consists of pureed potatoes one or several mashed vegetables, sometimes also with bacon. These vegetable pairings traditionally include endive, kale, Brussels sprouts, spinach, turnip greens, carrot or onion. Stoemp is usually served with sausage or stewed meat.
