Chestnut Festival

The Chesnut Festival offers the chance to taste grilled and boiled chestnut, sweets based on chestnuts, as well as hot distilled "tsipouro" from the cauldron. The event is celebrated in October in Arna (Locania, Peloponnese).

Description
On the flea market stalls, the visitor can find an abundance of local products, such as chestnuts, pomegranates, walnuts, quinces, apples, pumpkins, honey, wine, spoon sweets, mountain herbs, as well as handmade jewellery and ornaments from recycled materials, made by women from Arnas. The festival comes to an end with traditional musical and dance events.
