Delicious Waregem

Delicious Waregem is a culinary exploration of the town centre of Waregem, a cosy and green shopping and sports town in the southwest of Flanders, between Kortrijk and Ghent. A guide takes you on a walk through Waregem and shows the main sights on the route. Along the way, a stop is made in six typical Waregem shops and businesses where a local specialty is tasted. Six of the products offered are recognized by the organization het Beste van bij Ons ('the best of our local produce') as 'regional product from the Lys region': steeple cake, Waregem horse heads (chocolates), head cheese, paté, locally roasted coffee and homemade ice cream.

The tour is about 3 km long and takes 3 hours, stops included. Start and finish are at the Treffer sports centre, in Meers Street. The maximum number of participants per guide is 15. Because of the opening hours of the shops and businesses, the tour can only be booked on Tuesday and Saturday afternoon. The cost is 9 euro per person + 50 euro for the guide.
