En el corazón de los Picos de Europa, la localidad asturiana de Arenas de Calabres celebra cada año un festival en honor de uno de sus productos gastronómicos más celebres: el Cabrales.
Every year, on the last Sunday of August, Arenas de Cabrales helds a festival in honor of its most iconic gastronomic product: the “Cabrales” Cheese. In this famous fair, which attracts thousands of visitors, folklore and popular traditions come together with the tasting of this exquisite cheese, which is considered to be one of the world’s finest blue cheeses. Some of the activities that visitors can enjoy during this special day include a show about the traditional cheese making process, games, exhibitions, open air dances and a traditional pilgrimage.
