Festa da Castanha
Organizado pela Casa do Povo do Curral das Freiras com o objetivo de dinamizar e promover este importante produto agrícola regional, o evento constitui uma oportunidade para os inúmeros visitantes provarem as iguarias e derivados deste fruto seco: castanhas assadas, licores e bolos. A ocasião é aproveitada para promover também um concurso gastronómico nos restaurantes locais. Venha ao Curral das Freiras provar a castanha!
Organized by Casa do Povo do Curral das Freiras to promote this important agricultural product, the Chestnut Festival is an opportunity for visitor to taste the gastronomic specialities made with this dry fruit: roasted chestnuts, liqueurs and delicious cakes. There is also a culinary competition running in the local restaurants where traditional local food is served. Come to the Nun’s Valley and taste these special chestnut treats!
