Festival of Almond 2014 Events
Two days of tastings, workshops, exhibitions and the First Regional Competition of Cake Design with some of the best Sicilian pastry chefs. Fantastic artistic cakes, traditional flavors made with almonds, sugar and vegetable sculptures and a huge cake depicting St. Gerlando’s Cathedral, Agrigento’s patron saint. On Saturday, the Holy Archdiocese will be celebrated with a reenactment of his arrival in the city in the Middle Ages.
"Iter Vitis - The Ways of the Vine in Europe” is a door onto exceptional wine territories. Certified by the Council of Europe in 2009, this cultural route is about discovering great wines, the finished product, but also unique landscapes, ancient know-how, historical vineyards and the people living there.
