First organised in 1996 as a joint initiative between Phalsbourg's restaurateurs and its Tourist Office, the Regional Foie Gras Festival is the main event of the year for epicureans and local producers. For two weekends, producers from Alsace and Lorraine display and sell their products and give visitors a chance to taste them.
The success of the Fois Gras Festival in Phalsbourg in the run-up to Christmas is assured. The products come mainly from Alsace and Lorraine and there are also organizes cookery demonstrations and meals. As a gastronomy festival, the Regional Foie Gras Festival has become over the years an essential date in the diaries of the region's gourmets.
In 2015, the event will take place on 12-13 and 19-20 December.
